Colorado Volunteer Leaders in Hospice Fall 2026 Symposium
Join us for this season's Volunteer Symposium as we explore strategies for navigating challenging patient situations and strengthening your impact as a volunteer.
Have you ever wondered:

- How can I engage with a nonverbal patient?
- Am I making a meaningful difference in my patient's well-being?
- How do I maintain healthy boundaries and expectations in my role?
We'll discuss these topics and more on September 19.
Morning highlights include:
- A volunteer panel sharing real-life experiences and lessons learned
- Interactive breakout sessions with role-playing activities
- Opportunities to connect with fellow volunteers
- A special presentation by Todd, Chaplain at Compassus Hospice, on engaging with nonverbal patients

Parking: GPS typically does a good job of getting individuals to the main building, but it can feel a little confusing because you can’t see our building from the road. We are approximately half a mile northwest of the Parker Road exit at I-225. We are at the intersection of Parker and Dartmouth, and at that intersection is the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home building, located on the southwest corner. We share a parking lot with them, but are in the building behind them. Enter the parking lot on Dartmouth between the signs for Horan & McConaty and the Raven Apartments. Or from Parker Rd, take the first right after the Parker & Dartmouth intersection and enter through the parking gate, then follow the signs for HeartLight Center. Note: for the weekend, the gate may be closed.
