About this Event
Get ready to celebrate the season with irresistible grooves, powerhouse vocals and a whole lot of holiday soul! Greg Adams & East Bay Soul bring their acclaimed Sweet Soul Christmas to the Palm Springs Cultural Center on December 10 for an unforgettable evening of jazz, funk, soul and R&B.
Grammy- and Emmy-nominated trumpeter and arranger Greg Adams helped shape the unmistakable sound of Tower of Power as a founding member of the legendary horn-driven band. During his more than two decades with the group, Adams’ dynamic arrangements became an essential part of hits including “What Is Hip?,” “You’re Still a Young Man” and “So Very Hard to Go.” He has also recorded and arranged for an extraordinary roster of artists, including Elton John, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Heart, Chicago and Huey Lewis & The News.
Today, Adams leads East Bay Soul—an all-star ensemble built around blazing horns, an electrifying rhythm section and the same sophisticated funk that made him a musical icon.
At the microphone is sensational lead vocalist Terrell Edwards, a gifted singer, songwriter and producer whose sound has been described as the perfect blend of Sinatra and Motown. With his smooth, soulful voice, magnetic stage presence and natural gift for connecting with an audience, Edwards brings warmth, heart and fresh energy to every holiday favorite.
Sweet Soul Christmas reimagines beloved Christmas classics with East Bay Soul’s signature blend of jazz-funk, R&B and soul. It’s festive, funky and filled with the love, joy and excitement that make this time of year so special.
Bring your jingle bells—East Bay Soul is ready to deck the halls! Join us December 10 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center and make this holiday season one to remember.
