Join us and discover Govend, a traditional Kurdish group dance that brings people together through movement, music, and shared cultural experience! ✨ ⠀
Govend is traditionally performed in a line or semicircle, with dancers holding hands or linking fingers. It is an important part of Kurdish social and cultural life and can be seen at weddings, Newroz celebrations, festivals, and community gatherings.

During the workshop, Rojda will introduce you to the cultural background of Govend and its role in Kurdish celebrations. You will then learn basic steps and simple movements and gradually combine them into a short group dance.

The workshop is designed as a friendly cultural exchange rather than a formal dance class, so no previous dance experience is required. Everyone is welcome!
