Ghost Mic: An Open Mic for Poems by Dead Poets

Are you dead? Do you write poetry? Boy do we have the opportunity of a lifetime for you!

Now’s your chance to possess the vessels of Brooklyn’s finest poets to deliver one last soliloquy from beyond the grave. At Ghost Mic, you can become a medium for the ghost of your favorite dead poet.

Following featured readings by Amelia Blair-Smith, Taylor Catalana, Diego Sandoval, and Jacquelyn Marie Shannon, you too can take the stage to read the work of your favorite dead poets, speaking their spirits into the room once more.

There are 10 slots available for Open Mic readers, each with a time limit of three minutes, and sign-ups are first-come, first-served.

Don’t read your own work! Don’t read work by other living poets! Poems by dead poets only!

Come revel in the spirits of poets passed, brought to life by New York City’s living literary scene and performing arts angels, with a cocktail in hand in a historic art-deco venue.
