If you’ve ever been interested in pursuing a career in theatre or event production and want to find out more about the roles available, then this Introduction to Stage Management workshop is for you.
This taster workshop led by Freelance Company Manager and Stage Manager, Sunita Hinduja aims to give participants a comprehensive overview of this exciting and essential role.
Stage Management is the team that holds a production together - right from the outset. From planning and preparation through the rehearsal period to ensuring the show’s performances run the same way each night, they are involved in every aspect. Stage Managers are required for so many events; Live TV and awards shows, fashion shows, circus, opera, ballet, music festivals, theatre and musicals including immersive, site-specific and comedy shows tours and more.
Sunita will guide participants through the various elements of the Stage Manager’s role with some practical exercises including marking out a rehearsal space and, you will get some dedicated Q&A time at the end of the workshop to find out more about the various pathways there are into this career.
