Carrollwood Players Theatre announces open auditions and offstage production opportunities for:
Freaky Friday - The Musical
Book by Bridget Carpenter
Music by Tom Kitt
Lyrics by Brian Yorkey
Mainstage Musical
Directed by Joie Marsh
Musical Direction by Lisa M. Chase
When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again.
Freaky Friday, based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic.
By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the power of the immeasurable ove and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
Presented with the support of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
Freaky Friday is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI.) All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
