Looking to take your surface decoration and wheel throwing skills to the next level? In this workshop we will focus on a variety of surface treatments and alteration techniques to help develop work that is truly unique to you.
What You’ll Learn:
Design Concepts: Learn to integrate rhythm, balance, and harmony into your work to create more thoughtful surface designs and forms.
Skills: Learn to make Terra Sigillata and try out surface techniques like sgraffito, mishima and distressing. We will also alter wheel thrown pots to create a variety of interesting shapes.
Projects: We will work on leather hard pots to try out new ideas and work on a collaborative cup together to help integrate concepts.
Join us for two days of creative exploration, hands-on learning, and dynamic surface design that will transform your pottery!
