Charity Breathwork - an evening to pause, slow down, release some stress and build some resilience and support a great cause!
About this Event

Do Good. Feel Good.

Building Resilience Through Release — An evening of Breathwork, relaxation and time for you, while supporting the incredible Charity SWEDA.

Feeling stressed? Tired? Like you've been carrying a bit too much lately?

Come and give yourself an evening to breathe deep, switch off and let some of it go.

This special in-person Conscious Connected Breathwork session is all about building resilience through release — while doing some good too.

We often think resilience means becoming stronger, tougher or learning to cope with more.

But what if we looked at it differently?

What if resilience isn't about carrying more?
What if it's about learning to release some of what we're already carrying?

Stress, tension, pressure, emotions, expectations...

When we create space to release some of that load, we can create more capacity for what life throws at us.

You may leave feeling lighter, calmer, clearer and more able to deal with whatever comes next.

And there's an added feel-good factor:

£20 from every ticket will be donated to SWEDA.

"SWEDA supports people of all ages affected by eating disorders and body image concerns in Bristol and across the South West. Proceeds from sales will go directly to SWEDA's services, including their Children & Young People service, one-to-one counselling, helpline, nutritional support and family & friends guidance".

So come and do something good for yourself — and someone else.

Come alone or even better bring someone who needs this

Bring a friend. Bring a colleague. Bring someone who could do with a chance to breathe, switch off and let go.

No experience needed - open to all, first timers or seasoned Breathworkers - as theres no real skill involved, it simply laying down and breathing in and out.

Come together, breathe together, then head to the downstairs café bar at St George's before or afterwards and make a whole evening of it.

Good for you. Good for others. Good for the soul.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful style of breathwork using a deep, circular breathing pattern.

You'll be guided through the whole experience by a certified Breathwork Facilitator, with great music and empowering guidance throughout to help you immerse yourself in the practice, switch off from the outside world and reconnect with just how powerful, strong and amazing you are.

Whether you're completely new to Breathwork or you've done it before, you're welcome.

All you need to do is get comfortable, close your eyes and follow your breath.

Why Breathwork?

Life can be bloody busy.

Work. Family. Responsibilities. Deadlines. The constant one more thing...

Sometimes you just need to stop.

Breathwork gives you the opportunity to pause, reconnect with your body and release some of the tension you're carrying.

Rather than constantly asking ourselves to cope with more, push through and be more resilient, this session explores another approach:

Release what you're carrying. Create more space. Build your capacity.

You may leave feeling:

  • Relaxed and calmer
  • Physically and emotionally lighter
  • Clearer and more focused
  • More connected to yourself
  • Recharged and ready to go again
  • More connected to your own strength and power
  • Like you have capacity to face lifes challenges with more resilience and ease

And sometimes, the best thing you can do is give yourself permission to pause.

What happens during the session?

We'll start with a short introduction to Conscious Connected Breathwork, demonstrate the breathing pattern and answer any questions.

You'll then get comfortable lying down, close your eyes and settle into a grounding exercise.

We'll move into 3 rounds of connected breathing with music, with optional guided breath retentions.

Throughout the experience, powerful music and empowering guidance will help you stay connected to your breath, your body and yourself.

Then we'll bring things down with a guided visualisation and reading, giving you time to relax deeply and take in the experience.

You don't have to know what you're doing.

We'll guide you through it.

Make a whole evening of it

Why rush home afterwards?

St George's has a café bar where you can grab a drink or something to eat and keep the conversations going.

Come with a friend or colleague, take some time for yourself, then stay for a drink and a chat.

Breathwork + great music + great company + a great cause + a great venue = a pretty lovely evening.

What should I bring?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Ideally non-restrictive around the wasit clothing as you'll be lying down for most of the session and breathing deeply into the belly. But if you have jeans or tight trousers you can always just undo the button.

A limited number of yoga mats, eye pillows and blankets are available at the venue, and will be provided on a first come first served basis, although you're very welcome to bring your own if you have one, and anything else you want to feel super cosy and comfotable. Think sleepover vibes.

Bring some water and come with an open mind.

What might I experience?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a deep and powerful practice which can affect you physically, emotionally and mentally.

Everyone's experience is different.

You may experience tingling, changes in temperature, emotional release or simply a deep sense of relaxation.

There is no right or wrong way to experience it.

Your facilitator will guide and support you throughout.

A note about your ticket

Your ticket is £30.

£20 from every ticket will be donated directly to SWEDA.

"SWEDA supports people of all ages affected by eating disorders and body image concerns in Bristol and across the South West. Proceeds from sales will go directly to SWEDA's services, including their Children & Young People service, one-to-one counselling, helpline, nutritional support and family & friends guidance".

So you get an evening to relax, recharge and look after yourself — while helping support a great cause.

Do good. Feel good.
