About this Event
Join our woodland workshop session where you can undertake practical activity in the woodlands and pick–up some skills.
Parents/carers and children will work together on practical tasks. This includes using tools. Parents/children will be shown how to use tools and parents are expected to work with and supervise/help children.
Woodland maintenance activity: these are the types of activities
- build a stag beetle loggery
- help with a litterpic (gloves and litterpics provided)
- learn to name some trees and make a tree marker
- contribute to the large community weaving
- snacks and drinks provided
Location: Cobourg Road Nature Area, Cobourg Road
What to wear: Heavy duty trainers or boots and clothes suitable for being outside. You may get muddy.
