About this Event
What did the Romans do for us? A great deal, as we will discover on this walk through Roman Londinium, the orginal London, founded by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago. Starting at the wall in the east of the City, we follow in the footsteps of our Roman ancestors to explore where they lived, shopped, traded, bathed and worshipped. We find an amazing discovery beneath the Guildhall, and see why Roman construction continues to influence the City's layout to this day. The walk is hosted by Sarah Williams-Robbins, aka Mrs Londoner, an accredited City of London guide with a degree in Classics and a passion for exploring London's historic streets on foot.
