K*ll capitalism before it kills us!
The ecological crisis deepens as endless wars cause devastation to people and nature. The black oil smoke over Tehran as a result of US and Israeli attacks is a terrifying image of the world that the capitalist oligarchs and their war machines have created for us.
Trump has withdrawn the US from nearly all its ecological and environmental treaties and obligations, and ripped up even the tepid regulations that existed before. The climate crisis accelerates as the grip of the ethno-nationalist far right tightens.
In this context, we are organising the third ecosocialism conference.
Confirmed speakers so far include the authors of Radical Abundance; Nicholas Beuret, author of Or Something Worse: Why We Need to Disrupt the Climate Transition; Tyrone Scott from War on Want; Shourideh Molavi and Hamza Hamouchene speaking on ecocide in Palestine; Michael Löwy, co-author of the original Ecosocialist Manifesto from 2001; Sara Arnold on fast fashion, A.J.A. Woods, author of the forthcoming The Cultural Marxism Conspiracy, on climate denialism on the far right; and Sophia Brown on climate migration and refugees.
We are also pleased to welcome Mel Mullings (RMT, Your Party), as well as Dan McQuillan on AI, technology and politics; Anne Alexander, socialist writer and activist; and speakers from La France Insoumise, Greens Organise, Fossil Free London and Energy Embargo for Palestine.
More speakers and workshops will be announced soon.
