About this Event
Join us for Week 7 of the Everyday AI: From Curious to Confident series, an engaging learning journey designed to help residents of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities understand, explore, and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) safely and responsibly.
In this 60-minute session, participants will learn to create one safe, repeatable AI habit you can use in your everyday life. Through a safe, real-world example such as creating a Sunday planning prompt for meals, errands, and reminders participants will build confidence in interacting with AI using only safe, fictional data.
This workshop is practical, supportive, and designed for everyone. Participants will learn the following skills:
- Routine Design: Build a repeatable structure for a weekly AI task.
- Prompt Template: Write a reusable prompt you can adapt each week.
- Human Review: Check every output before acting on it, remembering that AI outputs are drafts, not final decisions.
- Apply Safe AI Practices: Ensure privacy by avoiding the mistake of pasting real private information, and always substituting it with fictional or practice data
Learning Outcome
By the end of this session, you will be able to create one safe, repeatable AI habit. You will leave with a completed Personal AI Routine a safe, repeatable prompt you can use every week, which you can take home and practice.
About Everyday AI: From Curious to Confident
This friendly weekly session helps participants create one safe repeatable AI habit. You do not need to bring sensitive information or prior AI experience. We use safe practice examples and clear step-by-step activities. You will also receive a redo-at-home activity trying your routine once this week using only safe, fictional data to help you continue practising safely and confidently after class.
