🚨🚒🚑 YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED! FREE AUTISM AWARENESS TRAINING FOR FIRST RESPONDERS! 💙💜
Through our work with local first responders, one thing has become very clear: They want more opportunities to learn how to better understand, communicate with, and assist individuals with autism during emergencies.
They asked, and Erin’s Way answered! 💜
Erin’s Way, in partnership with the Dunmore Police Department and Dunmore Fire Department, is excited to announce that we will be hosting First Due Autism Awareness Training for First Responders!
🚨 This training is completely FREE and open to ALL local first responders!

We are honored to welcome Captain Zach Kirsch, who was recently recognized with the prestigious Keystone Award by Governor Josh Shapiro in September 2026! 🏆
This training focuses on helping first responders recognize the unique needs of autistic individuals, understand communication differences, and develop strategies to respond more safely and effectively during emergency situations.
Imagine being in an emergency and being unable to communicate what you need. Imagine the fear of flashing lights, loud sirens, unfamiliar faces, and people trying to touch or move you without understanding why.
For many autistic individuals, these situations can be incredibly overwhelming.
The right training, understanding, and approach can make all the difference.
💜 But this is about so much more than one training session.
At Erin’s Way, we have been working behind the scenes with local first responders, community leaders, and officials to develop a plan that will make our communities safer for autistic individuals and other vulnerable residents.
This training is just the FIRST STEP in that plan!
We have been working on something incredibly important, something that is very close to our hearts and at the center of why Erin’s Way was created.
🤫💜 And we have a HUGE announcement coming VERY soon!
For now, we are excited to begin by giving our first responders additional tools, knowledge, and resources to better serve the families in our community.
We are incredibly thankful to the Dunmore Police and Fire Departments for their continued partnership and commitment to making a difference, and to Captain Kirsch for bringing this valuable training to our area.
📅 Date: November 14, 2026
