2-hr. Taste of Encaustic Workshops!
Join me for a 2-hour Encaustic Painting Workshop. Supplies and refreshments are included. Encaustic painting is an ancient beeswax-based medium unlike any other. Learn the luminous, sensual, ancient art of encaustic painting.
Learn in a great supportive space and dare yourself to try this amazing class. (18 y.o. & up) Offered weekly!
What will you get out of this class?
- You will learn basic techniques of the luminous, sensual, ancient art of encaustic painting.
- Finish a small take-home Mixed Media encaustic painting!

Leslie has taught Encaustic Painting for over 15 years, including at The Austin Museum of Art’s Art School at Laguna Gloria, The University of Texas at Austin, BlueMoon Glassworks, and The Athenaeum in La Jolla. She has been awarded multiple special artist project grants in both Austin and San Diego to expand her interdisciplinary work. Her teaching style is upbeat, fun, and informative. You will learn a lot while having a wonderful experience.
