Emergency First Aid at Work for Charities/Community Groups

This in-person training is only available to charities and community groups in R B Kingston upon Thames.

First Aid training will now cost £50 including VAT, which is significantly less than the actual cost of providing the training. PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING (PREFERABLY TROUSERS) AND BRING A MAT IF POSSIBLE AS SOME WORK WILL BE ON THE FLOOR

This one day basic training (9.30 to 4.30 pm) fulfils HSE guidelines and will enable you to gain certification as a First Aider in the Workplace .

The course will provide learners with essential basic first aid skills and knowledge to handle first aid related emergencies in the workplace under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It is based on the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) training standard for delivery of Emergency First Aid at Work Courses. The course is both theoretical and practical and will cover all that is required under HSE recommendations.

Outcomes:

This training will enable participants to understand:

• Primary and Secondary Survey

• Basic Life Support and CPR

• Use of Defibrillator

• Choking

• Shock, Bleeding and Wounds

• Fracture and Burns

• Unconsciousness

• Heart attack

• Stroke

• Epilepsy

• Rules and regulations
