About this Event
In this casual painting club, we chat about wellbeing, and explore classic themes from traditional Chinese painting. Less like structured lessons, participants are welcomed to explore their creativity and skills using the authentic medium of Chinese brush painting - brushes, ink and colour. No prior experience needed. Light guidance, inspirations and support will be provided. It is more about leisurely exchange, and a chance to come together for a peaceful appreciation of a unique, oriental craft.
Jasmine Chan is a Kingston-based artist and architect who has a focus in Chinese brush painting since her childhood in Hong Kong. Her experiences span from design to illustration and teaching, while her painting style has evolved to blend traditional technique with contemporary styles. She is a certified facilitator and has previously led wellbeing and cultural networks - bringing thoughtful teaching and a sense of community to her classes.
