Tihanyi László | UMZETihanyi László zeneszerző tanárként és karmesterként is a magyar zenei élet meghatározó alakja. Közel száz kompozícióból álló életműve az elmúlt négy évtized kimagasló jelentőségű teljesítménye. Az utóbbi években izgalmas hangszeres színházi darabokkal jelentkezett. 2021-ben bemutatott, Arabeszk című egyfelvonásosában a Don Giovanni-történet egyik lehetséges folytatását írta meg: vajon miként alakult Donna Elvira élete, és idős asszonyként hogyan emlékezik vissza a régmúlt történéseire. Legújabb művében, a Vaskazettában az író-muzeológus Móra Ferenc és titkos szerelme, Kalmár Ilona kapcsolatát dolgozta fel, részben kettejük levelein, részben Móra alkotásain keresztül.

László Tihanyi is a composer who is also a leading figure in the Hungarian music scene as an educator and conductor. With almost a hundred compositions, his oeuvre is a towering accomplishment of the past four decades. In recent years, he has presented compelling pieces of musical theatre. The one-act Arabesque (2021) is a sequel to the story of Don Giovanni, in which Donna Elvira, now an old woman, recalls the events of the past. The Iron Box, his most recent work, looks at the secret affair of Ferenc Móra, the writer and museologist, and Ilona Kalmár, drawing on their letters and Móra’s works.
