The doors for the event will open at 12:00. We'll be starting the Edison Format tournament at 13:00. This event will be Swiss rounds (4 if 16 players or under, 5 if 17 players or more) followed by a top cut (top 4 if 23 players or under, top 8 if 24 players or more).Edison format is Yugioh as it was in April 2010, using the card pool, Forbidden & Limited list and ruleset of SJC Edison.
*OCG cards may be used when using opaque sleeves.
*Orica cards may be used in the Extra Deck.
*Cards ruled as illegal for play in Europe are allowed to be played if they were legal for play at SJC Edison. (eg Shiba Warrior Taro)
*RUSH DUEL versions of Edison legal cards may be used if all non-Japanese attributes on the card match those of their TCG counterpart.
Rounds will last 45 minutes. Following that, if games are still ongoing, 5 additional turns are played and the player with more LP at the end of those turns will win that Duel.
The Top Cut is played without a timer.
The following cards will be ruled differently from edisonformat.com:
*Mind Crush: The opponent of the player activating Mind Crush will reveal hand on resolution unless all legal copies of the declared card are accounted for.
*Royal Tribute: Both players will reveal their hand on resolution to verify that there are no monsters present.
*Evil Hero Dark Gaia: The effect to switch monsters to attack position on attack will be ruled as Optional.
*Tragoedia: Tragoedia cannot be special summoned if battle damage is taken from a battle involving Fossil Dyna, Consecrated *Light, Koa'ki Meiru Drago, Vanity's Fiend, Archlord Kristya, or any comparable effects such as the various barrier statues etc.
