Black Women Connect Vancouver is excited to partner with KPMG Vancouver once again for an evening of meaningful conversation, connection and community. As Black women continue to grow in our careers, businesses and leadership, we want to have an honest conversation about what it means to open doors for each other.

And once we gain access, how do we make sure we're bringing other women with us?
Opening Doors for Each Other will bring together Black women professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders for a candid conversation about mentorship, sponsorship, entrepreneurship, career advancement, building meaningful relationships and sharing access to opportunities.
At the heart of the evening is a simple idea:
no gatekeeping. We want women to leave not only with new connections, but with resources, knowledge and relationships that can help them move forward.
What to Expect:
The evening will include a moderated panel conversation featuring Black women from different professional and entrepreneurial backgrounds, an audience Q&A, food and refreshments, intentional networking, and our “Put Her On” networking experience.
During Put Her On, guests will be encouraged to share something that could benefit another woman in the room, whether that's an opportunity, resource, introduction, connection, business recommendation or piece of career knowledge.
Panel Conversation:
Our panellists will explore topics including: Mentorship vs. sponsorship - building and leveraging professional relationships. Entrepreneurship and building a business.
Navigating corporate and leadership spaces. Accessing opportunities and resources. Advocating for women when they aren't in the room. Sharing information instead of gatekeeping it. Using your network and influence to open doors for others. What they wish someone had told them earlier in their careers.
