Following the dissolution of Vancouver's Parks Board in 2024, in memory of this community service deemed “ineffective” and “costly” by Ken Sim, Parks & Rec a Music & Drag Show promises dazzling drag numbers reimagining Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope, Aubrey Plaza’ April Ludgate, Nick Offerman’s Ron Swanson just when Vancouver needs them most.
Naturally, everyone’s favourite fictional band, Mouse Rat, also joins the bill, portrayed by Vancouver’s own Dust Cwaine band, bringing “The Awesome Album,” to the Fox stage.
