Join us at this month’s Open Waters as we learn about El Día de Muertos, reconstruct ways to honor our ancestors, and decide how we will carry them with us. In this session, our guest facilitator Addy Perez will share the history and traditional practices of El Día de Muertos before we discuss altars and all the ways we honor our ancestors.\\
Remaining connected with our deceased loved ones is an act of revered love and honor. Scientific literature also suggests that remaining connected helps us reconstruct a meaningful life where grief and joy can coexist (Neimeyer, 2001).
Come as you are. No pressure. Just presence.\
