About this Event
Egon Müller is one of Germany’s most celebrated Riesling producers, whose family estate, Scharzhof, is rooted in the legendary Scharzhofberg vineyard on the Saar (a tributary of the Mosel River). The estate produces Riesling exclusively, sourced from its own vineyards, with an emphasis on expressing site, vintage and the slate-rich terroir of the Saar.
Their offering ranges from the beautifully balanced Scharzhof Riesling through Scharzhofberger and Wiltinger braune Kupp Kabinett and Spätlese, to intensely concentrated Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein. The wines are renowned for their purity, mineral character, vibrant acidity and extraordinary longevity, with the finest sweet wines ranking among the great collectibles of the wine world. Today, the estate combines meticulous vineyard work with a deliberately minimalist approach in the cellar, allowing the character of its exceptional vineyards to speak clearly.
