About this Event
The annual DWL Cultural Showcase is a celebration of the talents, stories and lived experience of diverse women in the legal profession. With a focus on connection, reflection and openness, the showcase will feature live cultural music, storytelling, cultural dance and other performances.
This year’s theme, "Unmute: Voices Shaping the Law”, recognises and honours the diverse voices and experiences that contribute to the continuing development of the profession as an inclusive and welcoming space.
The theme will highlight the importance of amplifying the voices of women from all walks of life through listening and collective reflection. At the heart of this event is the opportunity to foster meaningful conversations and create a space which recognises the power of diverse women’s voices.
DWL is proud to announce the Honourable Justice Jacqueline Gleeson of the High Court of Australia as this year's keynote speaker.
An event curated by DWL Founder Keerthi Ravi and world music artist Ganathipan.

ABOUT US
Diverse Women in Law aims to support those who self-identify as women, non binary and gender diverse through all stages of their legal studies and differing careers and who also self-identify as being from one or more of the following underrepresented backgrounds:
- culturally and linguistically diverse persons;
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander persons;
- LGBTQI+ persons;
- people living with a disability;
- people who are or have experienced socioeconomic disadvantage; and
- people with caring responsibilities,
(together, Diverse Women).
As one of the first not-for-profits of its kind, DWL is on a path to creating tangible change within the legal profession so that it reflects the incredibly diverse Australian society. DWL is focused on improving diversity at all stages of the talent pipeline including entry level, mid-level career lawyers and senior members of the legal profession.
All proceeds from ticket sales go towards supporting future events such as these, ensuring that each year's is bigger and better than the last.
