A new federal tax-credit program is creating an unprecedented opportunity for Northern Colorado taxpayers to support students and expand access to educational resources—without increasing their tax burden. Beginning January 1, 2027, taxpayers can redirect up to $3,400 in federal-tax liability toward scholarships to help students cover educational expenses.
To help families, taxpayers, and community members understand how the tax law works and how to participate, Liberty Common School will is hosting free, public-information night featuring experts from the education and financial sectors.
Panel speakers include:
Leah Curtsinger, Director of Grants at the Daniels Fund
Jason DiFraia, President, ACE Scholarships
Jeff Ehman, Chief Program Officer, ACE Scholarships
Kara Jones, CPA and Partner at Eide Bailly
Antonio Parés, Founder of Walnut Hill Workshop.
The event is hosted by Liberty Common School and is free and open to the public. Community members, parents, taxpayers, and anyone interested in learning more about the EFTC are encouraged to attend.
More information is available at poudrethompsoneftc.com.
