𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒
𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐦: is a transformative kirtan and medicine music band from the GTA in Toronto. Comprised of Madison Ryley on harmonium and vocals, VJ Bala on guitar and vocals, while often featuring multiple percussionists and other musical highlights like cello and flute. Velvet Om weaves together soulful sounds and healing vibrations.
Over the past three years, they have graced festivals like Earthbeat (Previously Coming Home Festival) and Bumi festival. They have hosted kirtans across Toronto and its northern regions, creating a vibrant community around their music.
As a newly formed band, Velvet Om is driven by a passion for medicine music and the belief that all music is healing. Their eclectic repertoire includes everything from the timeless melodies of The Beatles and the ethereal sounds of Enya to Spanish medicine music and the even ceremonial music. Velvet Om’s kirtans are unique in that they are also song ceremonies, offering a deeper, transformative experience.
