Join us for a joyful celebration honoring the Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead at Mission Dolores Basílica! Featuring performances by CMC's Coro de Cámara, Mariachi CMC, Neighborhood Choir Program Coro Solera, and guest artists. The concert includes classical and traditional music from Spain, Mexico, and Latin America directed by . Día de Muertos en la Misión brings the musical spirit of the Day of the Dead to the heart of the Mission—don't miss an afternoon of music, community, and rememberance.

The program celebrates a rich tapestry of musical traditions from the Spanish-speaking world, celebrating unity, cultural heritage, and the power of music to spread joy in challenging times. Bringing together different musical communities within CMC through collaboration, our choirs and Mariachi ensemble are thrilled to come together raise our voices in song, and celebrate the season while honoring the souls of our loved ones who are no longer with us.
Following the performance, guests are invited to stay for a community celebration with Pan de muerto, tamales, and hot chocolate for sale.
