Join us on Friday, January 23 at Space 1026, for a night of active imagination. Through mystical transfiguration and immersive experience we will find a consensus vision to focus our collective manifestation.

SPACE 1026 is located at 844 N. Broad Street. The entrance is up about 6-8 stairs. Please let us know if you need help to attend.

DREAM HERE NOW!
Dream Here Now! is an attempt to navigate the collective subconscious through a prompt of interactive art installation and immersive experience. It models itself on studies that were groundbreaking for counterculture movements of the past century explored by Richard Alpert, Marie Laurencin, Amiri Baraka, Anne Waldman, and Ken Kesey. First showcased in April 2025, it has toured around the country gathering dreams and focusing the light. This fresh invocation in the series will feature guided meditations in the form of live music and performance conducive to encourage the audience to activate their imagination. Together we will identify common dreams among our generation and how to proceed to mutually achieve them.

METAZOANS
Metazoans is a songwriting project that draws inspiration from nature, evolution, and animal consciousness - at times singing from the perspectives of different species on Earth. Drawing from eclectic jazz and rock influences, they perform live as a trio with Andrea (vocals, nylon-string guitar), Thom (electric guitar, synth foot bass), and Jeremy (saxophone).

THE KAREN SMITH EXPERIENCE + ANJOLI SANTIAGO
Karen "Magic Fingaz" Smith, percussionist, playwright, director, poet, writer, curator, teaching artist and has contributed rhythms to various creative venues around Philadelphia and beyond as well as being named by the Philadelphia Inquirer, "The Sounds of Freedom". Recipient of several grants and awards, Karen also became a Pew Fellow in 2023 & in 2024 received Leeway Foundation, Illuminate the Arts and Germantown United CDC Micro Grants.

and MARSHALL JAMES KAVANAUGH
Marshall James Kavanaugh is a Philadelphia-based dream laborer and performance poet. He has performed his poetry at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation, Monument Lab, and the Philadelphia International Airport. As Dream Poet For Hire, Marshall creates stream-of-subconscious inspired poetry on demand for the general public. Accompanied by his trumpet-playing unicorn dream body named Ma Ja Ka, he will summon soundscapes of dreamlands to empower the surreal within us all.
