Archawah
Christopher David Archibald is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, best known as the frontman of the indie rock band Illinois and for his solo project, Archawah. As the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for Illinois, Archibald has shaped Illinois’s unique blend of indie rock, folk, and “suburban soul,” leading to the release of several albums, EPs and features in popular media such as the TV series Weeds and the video game NBA 2K10.In 2015, Archibald launched his solo project Archawah to explore a more experimental and introspective side of his music, blending acoustic sounds with electronic textures. His debut EP 1, released in January 2016, includes standout tracks like “Supermoon” and “Life in Motion,” earning praise for its emotional depth and innovative production. Archawah’s most recent release, The Great Big Beat, continues this sonic exploration with a bold, genre-blending approach. Beyond his solo and band work, Archibald has collaborated with other artists, with his song “Familiar” featured as the theme for Shane Gillis’s Netflix series Tires.
LEV
LEV is “the introspective psychedelic romp of New Motels’ Josh Levandoski,” (John Vettese, The Key), a Jenkintown, Pennsylvania-based songwriter, teacher, and activist. Launching the project on Bandcamp in 2020, Levandoski has been regularly releasing music after a long hiatus after disbanding his former band New Motels. In 2021, LEV recruited old friends and bandmates Kyle McDonough, Doug Wartman, and Jason Dooney to perform his compositions to live audiences. “Together, their sound is bold and expansive, and calls to mind a broad palette of reference points” (JV)—Pearl Jam, Kevin Morby, Dr. Dog, The New Pornographers, and Ty Segall, to name a few. He is currently working on a new collection of songs with engineers Kyle Pulley and Danny Murillo at Headroom Studios. The group’s most recent singles, “Time was a Test” and “Broken Monkey” from their upcoming EP were both selected as WXPN Local Picks of the Day. In 2023, the band performed as a quintet on XPN’s Key Studio Sessions, which can be accessed through their linktree, as well as the links to Apple Music, Spotify, and Bandcamp.
Granddogs
Granddogs is a palorcore Cerberus, furiously digging up the dark secrets of the past, searching for love and truth in a world on fire. Piano, three voices; full-throated anthems to whispered confessions; gnashing jaws around your throat. Instagram.com/granddogs_music Granddogs.bandcamp.comLinktr.ee/granddogs
