Join us at Welsh Harp where we will survey the two ponds on site and learn more about Dragonflies + Damselflies
About this Event

About

The UK has 42 species of Dragonfly + Damselflies 15 of which have been spotted at Welsh Harp since records began.

We will learn about dragonflies and damselflies including how to identify the different species. We will then survey the ponds on the reservoir edge and record the species we see.

This is a beginner friendly session, no experience needed and families are welcome!



Meeting Place

We will meet at 10.30am at The Welsh Harp Car Park ( NW9 7NX).

What to bring

All equipment, and ID resources will be provided. We do reccommend that everyone wear suitable outdoor clothing including warm clothes and waterproofs, depending on the weather, as we will be outside all morning. This particular area can also get very muddy so wellies might be the most suitable footwear.

You are welcome to bring your own ID books or equipment if you would like.

There is limited amount of parking at Woodfield Park by the football club or along Birchen Grove.
