Two rising voices in European stand-up come together for one night in Amsterdam.
On 27 October, Daniel Yazbek and Shaz Memon bring two very different styles, perspectives and comedy voices to the same stage for a special double bill.
Daniel Yazbek is one of the fastest-rising voices in the Amsterdam comedy scene. Known for his sharp writing, quick improvisation and brutal self-awareness, his comedy walks the line between personal confession and controlled chaos.
In just four years, Daniel has already shared stages with major international acts including Michelle Wolf, Morgan Jay and Sam Morril, building a reputation for smart, unpredictable comedy and an ability to turn almost anything into a joke.
Shaz Memon is a Pakistani-born, Amsterdam-based comedian whose comedy draws on immigration, religion, identity, European life and the strange experience of becoming Dutch while still looking like airport security has questions.
In just two years of stand-up, Shaz has performed across seven countries, appeared on K*ll Tony, performed at Top Secret Comedy Club in London, and become a regular performer at Boom Chicago and Comedy Café Amsterdam. He was also the winner of the Utrecht International Comedy Award 2025.
Known for sharp writing, misdirection and a distinct on-stage character, Shaz turns everything from Pakistani family life and Dutch integration to travel, politics and being a “premium economy immigrant” into densely packed stand-up.
