About this Event
Escape the city noise without leaving the sidewalk.
Join America on the Maps for a creative afternoon at one of Seattle's most unique hidden gems: the Waterfall Garden Park in Pioneer Square. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven't picked up a pencil since grade school, this meetup is about slowing down and capturing the beauty of our urban landscape.
The Vibe
Our theme for this session is "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls." We’re bringing the falls to you!
The goal is simple: Sit in silence, listen to the rushing water, and attempt to sketch the view. This is a dual-experience event feel free to chat and connect with fellow creatives, or plug in your favorite playlist and "disconnect" for a couple of hours of meditative solo work.
What to Bring
• Your Medium of Choice: Sketchbooks, watercolors, markers, or iPads are all welcome! (Note: As this is a public park, please avoid messy mediums like large-scale oil paints).
• Comfortable Gear: There is seating available in the garden, but feel free to bring a small cushion.
• Audio: Headphones if you prefer to zone out to your own music.
Schedule
• 1:00 PM: Meet at the garden entrance for a quick intro.
• 1:15 PM – 2:45 PM: Open sketching and soundscape immersion.
• 2:45 PM – 3:00 PM: Optional "show and tell" and group photo.
Location & Logistics
