Join us for a free, family-friendly literary event featuring local authors, book readings, family & children's activities, food, and more!
About this Event

A free, literary event to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) Heritage Month. Featuring local authors with children’s books exploring themes of identity, culture, and a sense of belonging. This event includes a panel discussion with the authors, book readings, and activities for children and families.

The panel discussion invites our guests to be part of an intimate discussion with our featured authors: Annie Cheng, Suma Subramaniam, Julia Kuo, and more.

After the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy book readings with the authors. Our guests are then invited to stay for an afternoon of fun through arts and crafts activities and photo opportunities with Magic in the PNW princess and characters. Hosted by founder Narriana Silva.

Attendees can purchase books on-site through our community partner: Wing Luke Museum's Marketplace. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Free parking. All are welcome.

The AANHPI Family Book Event is brought to you by the Filipino Community of Seattle's Social, Arts, and Culture Program. Sponsored by the Seattle Office of Department of Neigborhoods. In partnership with PSESD, Magic in the PNW, and Wing Luke Museum.
