Divided By Design: A Screening & Community Conversation with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens
Atlanta’s dividing lines were not created by accident. They were shaped by policy.
Join WABE, the Atlanta History Center, and the City of Atlanta for a special screening of "Racial Zoning: Divided By Design," an episode of WABE’s (re)Defining History documentary series examining the history and lasting impact of racial zoning in Atlanta.
Following the screening, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens will participate in a community conversation moderated by WABE's Rose Scott. The two will connect Atlanta’s history to the neighborhoods we know today and the work underway to shape the city’s future.
The evening serves as the citywide premiere and kickoff to a broader screening series that will travel throughout Atlanta this fall.
