Discovering Sexual Joy is an empowering and affirming class designed to help participants cultivate a deeper connection to their bodies, desires, and pleasure. Through guided exercises, discussion, and mindfulness techniques, this class encourages a present-focused approach to sexuality, emphasizing the importance of being fully engaged in the moment. By learning to quiet distractions, release shame, and tune into bodily sensations, participants will explore ways to enhance their personal experiences of pleasure with curiosity and self-compassion.
Rooted in the principles of positive sexuality, this class celebrates all expressions of desire and intimacy, free from judgment or expectation. Participants will engage in discussions on pleasure as a birthright, the power of self-discovery, and the role of consent and communication in fostering fulfilling connections. With an emphasis on inclusivity and respect, Discovering Sexual Joy provides a supportive environment where individuals of all genders, orientations, and relationship styles can explore their sexuality with openness and joy.
Body acceptance is a core theme of this class, helping participants shift away from self-criticism and toward appreciation for their bodies as sources of pleasure and joy. Through guided movement, breathwork, and somatic exercises, attendees will learn how to embrace their bodies with kindness and gratitude. Whether seeking to deepen intimacy with a partner, reconnect with personal pleasure, or simply cultivate a healthier relationship with one’s body and sexuality, this class offers a transformative experience centered on self-love, awareness, and joy.
About the Instructor: Fawn O’Breitzman has been teaching psychology and sexuality at the college level for over 20 years. She specializes in issues of Sex and Gender and presents at conferences all around the country. She is the creator and co-owner of the Sexploratorium and loves nothing more than to spread the gospel of science-based sex education! She and her wife have been together for 26 years and they raise two kids with their gay male best friend. She has been a social worker, therapist, and has helped innumerable people have a more satisfying sex life!
All classes at the Sexploratorium are intended for those 18 and older.
