About this Event
Sunday afternoon in Toronto just got a lot softer.
Welcome to Devon Rex Kitten Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto, where the mats are set, the kittens are loose, and the Sunday scaries genuinely do not stand a chance.
Devon Rex kittens are curly-coated, enormous-eared, and deeply convinced that whatever you are doing would be better with them involved. Expect headbutts, lap-sitting, and at least one kitten attempting to become part of your downward dog.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of connection and cuddle time with the kittens
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Kitten yoga has a way of making the room soften. A Devon Rex wanders over, tucks against your ribs, and your nervous system just... exhales. It is hard to spiral about Monday when a purring, curly little creature has decided your chest is the best nap spot in the building.
A note on Devon Rex kittens
Devon Rex cats are famously social and people-oriented. They are not the type to observe from a distance. This breed tends to seek out warmth and contact, which means they are genuinely drawn to the humans on the mats rather than hiding in the corners. Their soft, wavy coats are low-shedding, and their big satellite-dish ears make them look permanently curious, because they are.
Families and kids
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome at this class. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps their child move gently and interact with the kittens with care.
Mats provided. No experience needed. Come exactly as you are, Sunday tired and all.
