Courtney Aguilar, MSN, APRN, PMHNP — Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, ACERA Behavioral Health

Shekinah Hammonds Davis — Managing Attorney, Hammonds Davis Law
Shekinah will help families understand the legal considerations that often come with a dementia diagnosis. Topics may include powers of attorney, advance planning, guardianship, decision-making authority, protecting a loved one’s interests, and why it is important to address certain legal matters before a crisis occurs.

Byron Cordes, LCSW, C-ASWCM, CMC — President / Certified Aging Life Care Manager, Sage Care Management
Byron brings the care-navigation and family-support perspective. He can help families think through care options, coordinate services, understand when additional support may be needed, navigate transitions from home to higher levels of care, and work through difficult family decisions surrounding a loved one’s changing needs.

Questions may cover topics such as behavior and communication changes, medications and symptoms, safety, legal planning, home care versus memory care, caregiver stress, family dynamics, and planning for what comes next.
