Chicago’s Rafael “Légo” Rodriguez has been part of the city’s house music fabric for more than three decades. Légo came up immersed in Chicago club culture and began building his reputation behind the decks while still young. His career has included a 17-year residency at the legendary Boom Boom Room, along with regular appearances at Smartbar, Darkroom and clubs throughout Chicago.
As a producer, remixer and label owner, Légo has taken that Chicago foundation far beyond the city. His productions and remixes have reached dance floors around the world. His sound pulls naturally from house, Latin rhythms, jazz, soul and disco, always with an emphasis on movement and the dancers in front of him. Légo himself has described it simply as “uplifting, moving house.”
