About this Event
This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session focuses on using creative techniques for improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing, emotional regulation and promoting anxiety relief. It provides specific practical activities to help achieve this and participants will take a toolkit of activities home afterwards.
This session is for anyone who works with young people in Schools, youth settings or alternative education settings. Attendees will leave with a series of practical activities to use in 1-1 or small group settings, that can be done by non-Artist experts with simple materials.
It has been developed from findings made in the Creative Approaches to Supporting Wellbeing pilot, delivered last year in Salford secondary schools.
There will be opportunity to discuss and share ideas with peers.
Delivered by Caroline Coates, who is an artist with 25 years experience of community engagement and Arts in Education who is inspired by working with people. She is an illustrator, community artist and craft tutor and specialises in getting people interested in art and to help them create their own. She regularly works with schools and youth services across the north west.
Free to attend, booking in advance essential.
This CPD is delivered by StArt Inspiring Minds in partnership with Salford CEP.
