What would a new society look like if we could create it?
We’re kicking off Hinterland Festival 2026 with an evening of music, ideas and conversation exploring this question and what it might mean to create something different.
The evening begins with a live set from Soltram, followed by a short philosophical conversation about the ideas behind Hinterland: community, imagination, wisdom and the possibility of doing things differently.
Then it’s over to you. We’ll break into smaller groups to explore the question together: if you could help create a new society, what would you keep, what would you change, and what would you create?
No expertise required, no right answers just curiosity and a willingness to think together.
