About this Event
Join us on Tuesday 6th October from 10:30am to 12:30pm for a relaxed and creative autumn collage-making session, led by our Community Corner team.
As the seasons change and autumn arrives, we'll be taking inspiration from the colours, textures and atmosphere of this beautiful time of year. Using scrap paper, old magazines, photographs, patterned papers and other materials, we'll explore different ways of cutting, layering, arranging and combining images to create our own unique autumn-inspired collages.
You might choose to create a collage inspired by autumn leaves, cosy days, nature, seasonal colours, favourite places, memories or simply anything that catches your eye! There is no right or wrong way to do it, and you don't need to consider yourself 'artistic' to take part. The session is all about having a go, experimenting and enjoying the process.
Please note that this is an event to promote wellness and is not a professional art class. It is instead a welcoming, judgement-free space where you can enjoy being creative at your own pace in a relaxed environment.
A chance to get creative and connect:
Creative activities can be a lovely way to take some time away from the busyness of everyday life. Spending some quiet time focusing on something enjoyable can help us to slow down, relax and be present in the moment.
Our collage session is also a chance to meet other people, have a chat, share ideas and enjoy some time together in a friendly and informal setting. Whether you prefer to chat while you create or simply enjoy some peaceful creative time, everyone is welcome.
You may even discover a new creative hobby that you can continue at home! We hope you'll leave with your own autumn collage and some ideas and techniques that you can use to make more creative projects in the future.
What do I need to bring?
All materials and refreshments will be provided, so there's no need to bring anything with you.
However, if you have any old magazines, newspapers, wrapping paper, cards, photographs or other craft materials at home that you no longer need, please feel free to bring them along. You never know what interesting colours, pictures or patterns you might find!
This is also a great way to reuse and recycle materials that might otherwise be thrown away.
So come along, grab a cup of tea or coffee, have a chat and get creative with us this autumn!
If you have any questions about the event, please email [email protected] and we would be happy to give you more information.
PLEASE ONLY BOOK IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND
The Community Corner team put a lot of effort into organising these events, alongside running a busy drop-in service. Whilst these events are free to attend, they are not free to run!
If you can no longer attend, please let us know in good time so that we can offer your space to someone else who would like to come along.
Thank you for helping us to make sure these sessions are accessible to as many people as possible.
