CRAFTING WITH NATUREA Harvest Celebration Workshop with Wild Willow Herbals
Join Amanda Calkins of Wild Willow Herbals for an afternoon of creativity, gratitude, community, and connection with the natural world.
As the seasons change and the earth shares its harvest, we will slow down and work with dried flowers, herbs, grasses, corn husks, pinecones, acorns, sticks, and other natural materials to create meaningful pieces inspired by the beauty of the season.
This five-hour workshop will offer an open, self-paced crafting experience. Natural materials will be arranged throughout the space, allowing participants to explore the available selections and choose the colors, textures, botanicals, ribbons, stones, and pendants that speak to them.
Our botanical selection will include locally grown flowers harvested from area flower farms, including Catbird Flower Stand in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Incorporating these locally grown flowers offers another meaningful way to celebrate our region, its growers, and the beauty of the harvest season.
Amanda will provide demonstrations and guidance for each project. Participants can then move between the different crafting areas, work at their own pace, visit with one another, and make every creation uniquely their own.
Throughout the workshop, each participant will create:
• A 4-inch miniature hanging flower bouquet
• A 3-inch dried-floral besom
• A 4½-inch handheld harvest wreath
• A handcrafted botanical intention doll
• A nature-inspired woodland wind chime
The botanical intention dolls will be handcrafted from corn husks and adorned with dried flowers, herbs, eucalyptus, grasses, natural elements, stones, beads, and meaningful pendants. Participants will be encouraged to choose their materials thoughtfully and create a doll that reflects an intention, gratitude, or connection they would like to carry into the changing season.
The woodland wind chimes will be created with natural branches, painted or yarn-wrapped sticks, twine, ribbon, pinecones, acorns, beads, bells, and a selection of meaningful pendants and embellishments.
Crafting with nature invites us to notice what the earth has provided, honor the changing seasons, and express gratitude for the abundance surrounding us. This workshop is intended to feel like a celebration of the harvest..a time to gather, create, visit, and reconnect with nature and one another.
No previous crafting experience is necessary. Wild Willow Herbals will provide all crafting materials and instruction. Each participant will leave with all five of their completed creations.
This is an adult-focused crafting workshop open to participants ages 16 and older. This age requirement is intended to distinguish the workshop from our separate youth and family programming.
LUNCH AND REFRESHMENTS
Light snacks, herbal tea, and infused water will be provided.
Because the workshop begins at noon, participants may choose to eat lunch before arriving. They are also welcome to bring a lunch, additional snacks, or other beverages to enjoy during the workshop. Bringing lunch is completely optional.

Advance registration and payment are required. Space is limited to preserve the intimate and supportive nature of the workshop.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Registration fees are refundable when cancellation is received at least seven days before the workshop. For this workshop, refund requests must be received no later than 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Cancellations received after this deadline are nonrefundable because materials will already have been purchased and prepared for each participant.
