Parents of children who have been treated at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are invited to join us join us for Connections Pediatric Cancer Caregiver Support. This in person event will be held on site at Lurie Children's Hospital; dinner and parking passes will be provided to all in person attendees. This month's topic is Emotional Centering: Calm in Chaos
A childhood cancer diagnosis can make stress and anxiety feel constant, leaving parents and caregivers searching for solid ground. In this session, we’ll explore practical strategies to help you manage overwhelming emotions, regain a sense of balance, and navigate uncertainty with greater confidence. Together, we’ll practice simple techniques such as recognizing what you can control, calming your mind and body through intentional breathing, and creating routines that foster resilience. While we can’t eliminate uncertainty, we can build skills that help you feel more grounded, present, and prepared for the journey ahead.
Please note that this will be a HYBRID session: Join us in person at Lurie Children's or via Zoom. When you RSVP, please let us know if you'll be joining in person via Zoom.
This event is FREE to attend. Session content provided by Momcology. Dinner provided by fundraising from your Lurie’s Hem/Onc/SCT nurses & nursing assistants.
