🤖🧱 First LEGO League competitors at DNI and NEVN are hoping to earn their place at Auckland Nationals in December! 🏆🇳🇿Getting to Auckland isn’t cheap. The schools and parents of LEGO League tamariki are looking for sponsorships and donations to help cover costs if the teams qualify — currently predicted to be around $1,000 per student.
There’s also another way to lend a hand… by having a good old-fashioned rummage! 🛍️
🧺 MEGA COMMUNITY RUMMAGE SALE
📅 Sunday 18 October
⏰ 11am–2pm
📍 Dunedin North Intermediate School hall
There will be heaps of second-hand goods to rummage through, plus a ☕ coffee cart and 🧁 bake sale to keep you fueled while you hunt for bargains.
Got good-quality household items you no longer need?
🎨 An excess of craft supplies?
👕 Clothing you're ready to pass on?
🔨 Tools collecting dust?
Donations for the rummage are welcome until 16 October.
📱 Text 022 308 6899 to arrange pick-up or drop-off.
Or simply come along, find yourself a bargain, grab a scrumptious cupcake and a quality flat white, and help these young, extraordinarily hard-working engineers, coders and problem-solvers get one step closer to Auckland — and, hopefully, the chance to fly the New Zealand flag overseas! 🇳🇿🤖🌏
Local businesses and individuals who would like to directly support the students can contact Lisa, who is overseeing the NEVN teams ([email protected]), or Drew, overseeing the DNI
teams ([email protected]).
