Communities Coming Together - Building Resilience and Stronger Communities

Join Groundswell and the Haringey Council community safety team to take part in a creative, interactive programme where participants explore community cohesion, critical thinking, and how to recognise and challenge harmful narratives.

This session focuses on practical information and tools by industry experts to help support and protect our communities facing hate and harm.

Delivered through an engaging workshop participants will create a Community Tree filled with reflections and positive messages, leaving a lasting display that celebrates unity, inclusion and stronger communities.

Key topics explored as part of the workshop include:

• Recognising online misinformation and harmful narratives
• Building community cohesion, empathy and respect
• Strengthening resilience against hate and division
• Exploring identity and global issues through respectful discussion
• Developing critical thinking and emotional resilience
• Where to access support if something feels worrying or unsafe
• Understanding radicalisation and vulnerability
  Groundswell Project are an organisation created by Founder Hadiya Masieh (1978-2026), who had a vision of creating strong communities with the tools and ability to tackle hate and extremism.
