Comedy is back at The Original Kaipara Tavern for a very special show celebrating the best NZ comedy has to offer! We have a stacked line up including the 2 most recent winners of the prestigious Billy T Award and 2027 Billy T nominees. Past Billy T winners have gone on to be the biggest household names and done huge things internationally; this is your chance to experience the pinnacle of Kiwi comedy in a relaxed, rural pub setting!Hosting the show is Jeremy Elwood a 25 year veteran of the New Zealand comedy scene. Jeremy is sharp, smart, and downright hilarious with countless festival shows and TV appearances, including 7 Days, AotearoHA and much more under his belt.
You're getting 2 headliners! 2026 Billy T Winner Joel Vinsen who is absurd, dark, and very silly; Joel approaches stand-up with equal parts respect and contempt. Unpredictable dumb/smart comedy delivered in a deadpan style. A true original.
As well as Hoani Hotene who won the award in 2025 as well as the RAW comedy quest in 2022. Hoani is carving a huge path nationally with his blend of real stories, and weird reflections. Seriously, catch this dude before you can't afford to buy a ticket to see him
You get to see a collection of the 2027 Billy T Nominees including Richie Fa'avesi
Annie Gao
Evie Orpe
Jonnon Tolovae
One of these people will soon hold the biggest prize in the industry, and you'll get to say you saw them at ya local pub before they blow up!
It kicks off at 7:30pm but we recommend getting there early so you can get comfy, grab some munchies and a few drinks before the chaos ensues. This show is packed with so much variety and talent that no matter what your comedy flavour is you'll be in for a great night! Support live entertainment and the future of the comedy scene and get your tickets today.
