About this Event
Join us at Forest Park for a peaceful outdoor watercoloring experience inspired by the beauty of the season. We'll gather in the park, get comfortable, and take a moment to observe what's around us—the changing leaves, warm autumn colors, trees, textures, light, and landscape. You'll then use those observations as inspiration for your own watercolor painting.
Learn different types of watercolor techniques to help guide you through your painting experience. We encourage you to paint what you see, how the season makes you feel, or simply experiment with colors. Whether you're new to watercolor or already enjoy painting, you're welcome to come create, relax, and experience fall in a different way.
Any level of painter's are welcome! Come relax and enjoy nature's fall colors while painting with watercolors.
What to Bring 🍂🎨
Please come prepared to get comfortable, relax, and create outdoors!
Comfortable seating — a folding chair, blanket, or outdoor cushion; there are park benches nearby!
Water bottle
Weather-appropriate clothing — layers are recommended for fall weather
Comfortable shoes
Sun protection — sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat
A light snack, if desired
Your creativity and an open mind!
Watercolor supplies will be provided, so you don't need to bring your own art materials. If you have favorite watercolor supplies you'd like to use, you're welcome to bring them.
About Your Instructor
This workshop is guided by Patricia Clark, a well-known artist in the St. Louis community. Patricia has taught the gift of creativity to students from kindergarten through college. She has participated in numerous art shows and exhibitions, including the Zuka Artist Guild, St. Louis Community College–Wildwood Faculty Exhibitions, Schlafly Library Group Exhibition, and has been featured by All The Art- St.Louis Winter Publication
With a background in Fine Arts and Art Education, Patricia’s workshops invite participants to slow down, express their creativity, build confidence in their artistic skills, and learn to see the unseen.
