About this Event
Democracy doesn't just happen in big cities. It happens at kitchen tables, church halls, and main streets in small towns across South Carolina.
Join Civic Forum for an afternoon of small bites, community, and honest conversation. Civic Forum founder Reed Galen sits down with Mondale Robinson [founder of the Black Male Voter Project] to talk about the places too often left out of the political story: rural counties, small towns, and the people holding them together.
Together we'll ask: What does it take to build real civic power outside the big cities? How do communities show up for each other when institutions fall short? And what can South Carolina teach the rest of the country about organizing where people actually live?
This is a conversation, not a lecture, and your voice belongs in it. Come early to eat, stay to talk, and bring a neighbor.
Free and open to all. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
