Music is medicine. It inspires, soothes, uplifts and helps us express ourselves in a unique and deeply felt way that otherwise can seem out of reach. The right song at the right time, the feeling of singing, the power of hearing your voice raised in collective sound with others can illuminate our deepest feelings and experiences. City Soul Choir, under the direction of Karla Mundy, invites you to experience the joy and transformation of this powerful force with ‘Shine The Light’ - Friday Dec 4th and Saturday Dec 5th. Backed by the incredible band of Michael Creber (piano), Adam Rohrlick (guitar), Brent Gubbels (bass) and Craig Scott (drums), we will dive into some amazing music from the African-American Gospel tradition, Brazil and South Africa. We will also showcase a collection of timely, honest and gorgeous new music by contemporary female songwriters.
