Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts is excited to continue the 2026-2027 Theatre and Dance season with "Circle Mirror Transformation" in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for the Performing Arts. What happens when a room full of strangers comes together to play, pretend, and discover who they really are?
In Annie Baker’s quietly captivating comedy, "Circle Mirror Transformation," five strangers gather in a small-town community center for a six-week acting class. Through a series of seemingly simple theater exercises, awkward introductions, and unexpected moments of connection, they begin to reveal far more than they ever intended. As laughter gives way to vulnerability and the ordinary becomes extraordinary, these unlikely classmates discover that the smallest moments can lead to the biggest transformations.
"Circle Mirror Transformation" runs October 21-24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $12 regular, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older and children under 16; and $5 for Minnesota State Mankato students.
The box office is open 4-6 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available online at MSUTheatre.com or over the phone at 507-389-6661.
