Centrediscs Album Launch - Obsidiana Duo: AIRE

AIRE is a tribute to immigrants and refugees throughout human history. As immigrants who have made Canada our home, we share our own journeys through nature and story: the Arctic tern's migration, the monarch butterfly's long flight, the historical injustices faced by Japanese Canadians during World War II, the depths of an immigrant mind, the necessary goodbye that lets us grow, and the experiences of political refugees. Together, these threads explore what it means to move from one land to another under unexpected circumstances. Through the diverse music of Canadian composers, AIRE celebrates the many ways that journey shapes our lives, our identities, and our sense of wonder.
